In this CAD tutorial we'll use the features:
Extrude: This is the most common command used to turn a 2D sketch into a 3D solid. It works by taking a sketch profile and pushing or pulling it in a straight line, either to add material (a "join" operation) or to remove material (a "cut" operation).
Shell: This command is used to remove material from the interior of a solid body, creating a hollow part with a specific wall thickness. You can also select one or more faces to be removed, which creates an opening in the hollowed-out part. It's a very efficient way to design things like plastic casings, bottles, or enclosures that need to be hollow.
All dimensions are in mm/g/s/ISO
