3D Exercise 167

Exercise 166
Exercise 167

Features used to make this exercise:

In this CAD tutorial we'll use the features:

1. Extrude — Creates the main solid body that will later be shelled and patterned.

2. Fillet — Rounds off sharp edges for a smooth, finished shape.

3. Shell — Hollows out the solid body, leaving thin walls of a set thickness, creating the base surface for the mesh pattern.

4. Extrude (Surface) — Creates a surface body used purely as a cutting/splitting tool, without adding solid material.

5. Split Body — Uses the surface body to divide the shelled part into separate regions, allowing the mesh pattern to be contained within a specific area only.

6. Rectangular Pattern — Repeats the diamond-shaped cut feature across rows and columns to build the mesh/lattice effect.

7. Combine — Merges the split regions back together (Join) after patterning, resulting in a single clean, manufacturable body.

All dimensions are in mm/g/s/ISO
