In this CAD tutorial we'll use the features:
In CAD, Extrude, Hole, and Fillet are three essential commands for creating and refining 3D geometry.
Extrude
This is the most fundamental command for turning a 2D sketch into a 3D solid. It works by extending a sketch profile in a straight line, either to add material (a "join" operation) or to remove material (a "cut" operation).
Taper Angle (within Extrude)
The Taper Angle option, found within the Extrude command, allows you to create a sloped or angled extrusion instead of a straight one. A positive taper angle causes the feature to get wider as it extends, while a negative angle causes it to narrow. This is crucial for designing parts that need draft for manufacturing, such as for injection molding.
Offset Plane
The Offset Plane command creates a new construction plane parallel to an existing face or plane at a specific distance. It is an essential tool for creating new sketches or features in a location where there is no existing geometry to sketch on.
All dimensions are in mm/g/s/ISO
