3D Exercise 101

Atualizado: há 1 dia

3D Model 101
Exercise 101

In this CAD tutorial we'll use the features:

1. Extrude

Definition: The primary tool for creating solid geometry. How it works: Creates the main block or "base" of your object. Best for: The heavy, structural parts of a design.

2. Pipe

Definition: Instantly creates a tube or solid rod along a sketch path. How it works:

  • The Magic: You do not need to draw a circle profile and use "Sweep." You simply draw a Line or Spline (the path).

  • The Action: Select the line, click Pipe, and type the diameter (e.g., 10mm). Fusion builds the cylinder along that line automatically. Best for:

  • Furniture: Tubular steel chair legs.

  • Fluid: Plumbing pipes and roll cages.

  • Consumer Goods: Handles for mugs or teapots.

3. Shell

Definition: Hollows out a solid body. How it works: You select the bottom face of a solid block. Fusion removes the inside material, leaving a thin wall (housing). Best for: Creating hollow casings for electronics or containers.

4. Fillet

Definition: Rounds off sharp edges. How it works: Applies a radius to corners. Best for:

  • Aesthetics: Making the transition between a "Pipe" handle and an "Extruded" body look smooth and organic (like a ceramic mug).

5. Hole

Definition: Creates standard drill holes. How it works: Drills a precise opening through the wall. Best for: Wire pass-throughs, screw holes, or drainage ports.

All dimensions are in mm/g/s/ISO
